Fostering an intergenerational dialogue is the aim of the St. Gallen Symposium. For that reason, 200 talented young people from all over the world are invited each year to the St. Gallen Symposium. The mission of these Leaders of Tomorrow is to fundamentally challenge the Leaders of Today with critical questions and new approaches.
The programme structure of the symposium allows them to pro-actively engage in debates with speakers, business participants and with their peers. In the long run, the Leaders of Tomorrow represent a community of future decision makers who are able to enrich the debates at the St. Gallen Symposium.
They are divided into two categories:
Student Competition - Students have the chance to submit their entry in order to take part in the St. Gallen Wings of Excellence Award. The authors of the 100 best contributions are invited to the St. Gallen Symposium. Students from all fields of study, born in or after 1982 and enrolled in a university graduate or postgraduate programme (Master’s level or higher) as of February 2012, are eligible for the essay competition.
Knowledge Pool - The Knowledge Pool completes the group of Leaders of Tomorrow and consists of approximately 100 participants. The selection is made by the International Students’ Committee (ISC).
To enable invited students from all over the world to participate, the ISC assumes most of their travel and accommodation costs, regardless of their economic situation. http://www.stgallen-symposium.org
